Taking part in the [FirstRubyFriend programme](https://firstrubyfriend.org/) as a mentor reminded me that we should have a list of recommended books on here!

These are my favourites:

- [The Well-Grounded Rubyist](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3892688-the-well-grounded-rubyist) – a great introduction for beginning and intermediate Ruby devs.
- [Practical Object-Oriented Design in Ruby](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13507787-practical-object-oriented-design-in-ruby) – A must-read for intermediate and advanced Rubyists!

Other lists with recommendations:

- [My personal Ruby book list](https://www.geewiz.dev/notes/Knowledge+Base/Ruby+books)
- An [extensive Ruby book list](https://rubyandrails.info/) with more than 90 entries

Please post your personal Ruby book favourites in the comments!
